More stuffs

So I realized that I missed one of the pieces that I had made. So this post is gonna be a two'fer. Both these pics are art trades so the characters are property of their respective owners.

The first one is the character Rippler by Uber Man offa SheezyArt.

This next one is one of the few times that I have actually delved into the realm of Painter. I actually quite enjoyed it and look forward to breakin' it out a bit more frequently. This is Kai Hatsu, who is Tekken's character offa SheezyArt as well.

So this is my first foray in the realm of acrylic paints. I've never used 'em ever in my life. Actually, I haven't really ever used any traditional paints, so this was a first go at it.

I was up till 4 this morning working on this (granted, I started at 1 am) and man, I gotta say that I love it. Traditional painting is so relaxing. Like watching an episode of "The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross". And I decided to paint this lil rascal on a left over piece of cardboard from a frozen pizza. Yay.

Unfortunately the scan doesn't do it justice since I just have a crappy scanner.

P.S. I know he doesn't have any eyebrows. I kinda like him better that way.

Paper Bag Man

This is a pic I did for Gerneral offa SheezyArt. We're doin' an art trade and this is his character, Paper Bag Man.

Anyway, this pic was highly experimental and there are certain things that I love about the pic, and other things that I hate. But I'll keep 'em to myself just so as to not ruin it for other people.

Alrighty. I'm not really gonna say this is a full blown pic or anything, but I've just had this image in my mind for a while and I wanted to get it out. So here it is. Take it to mean whatever the heck ya feel like.

I had a ton of fun with this one. I liked drawin' the lil accordion playing astronaut, and the background with something of a new experience. I will have to say that the full view is a must on this one, too. I'm thinkin' I might post a detail shot of the astronaut, too. Anyway, enjoy. I'm goin' to bed!

Fun in da Sun

I've just been trying to keep drawing. Keep em coming, keep em coming, good OR bad. Can't stop can't stop can't stop!

I used a picture of myself as reference. Taking a picture with the webcam is way easier than searching for one on the internet. It's not a completely accurate portrayal but I don't care. Lol. It's kinda like the latina mamasita part of me that will never really come out. xD yeehaw.

I am so tired. I'm just gonna get to bed now :3

Paintychatty

Just a paintchat sketchy thing, really. In honor of the season change. This looks more like Summer and Winter, though. Whatever. Or like cotton candy, haha! I was pleased with the paintchat tools. I colored this on photoshop but I did try some of the paintchat tools and they're not so bad!

Sorry, it's not anything special but the blog felt a little lonely xD

Cool your jets + Mike-O-Naut

Hmm. This is an older one I posted to deviantart on August 4. There isn't anything very special about this picture. Done in my patented I-don't-care-about-anything style. I do like how it came out and I like the colors. I don't really do it very often but this was done as a total response to feelings I was having at the time. I was sick and had just gotten over a fever. The whole time I was just thinking about how nice it'd be to simply drop into a cold pool. Since I don't have a pool anymore (sad) and I don't know anyone with a pool I could go to (except for Michele's parents, but that would be awkward) this is the closest I could get to gratification. I should do more pictures like this, just draw something based on feelings or whatever.

Beautiful Ground.

So the title of this one is based offa the song by Grandaddy called "Jed's Other Poem (Beautiful Ground)" in which Jed, a robot, writes a poem that is discovered after his untimely demise via alcoholism.

I was messing around some different techniques this time around. I decided to try out some underpainting before I went on to the colours portion. It was really interesting and I actually quite like how it turned out. I'll have to go back to it later on to see what else I can produce. Enjoy!

A Two-fer-one Special.

So I'm dishin' out twice the pic today. This first one is a pic I started a while ago. It was an idea I'd had a while ago of wanting to do a venetian styled gas mask. And well, here is the result. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out actually. I just wish I had done it in PS so I could have done a proper background, but instead, it was created with openCanvas. But either way, I like this character. I might need to do something more of him later on.

So this is the next one I did. It was a referenced from an image I found on deviantart. I mainly wanted to experiment with colouring skin tone and also actually using a reference pic (which I never do). I'm pretty happy with it. I know there are a ton of things I could have fixed, but meh, I still quite like it. :D

 So those are the two I have to post for right now. I'll get to puttin' some more stuff up soon.

'Nother post on my part. This piece was done in art class a lil while back. It's about 22 x 17 in. in size. It was referenced from a pic of my roommate and buddy from school, Shawn.

I spent waaay longer on this than I had intended, but I was really pleased with the outcome. It's shading is what really got me. It looks like the Aha video "Take On Me". I'm just sorry that the best I could get was a dumpy photo of it, since I don't have a scanner that size. But it's worth it to me anyway. Enjoy!

P.S. might I also add that yes, this is Blue Steel.

Summertime Clothes

Alrighty, another pic here. This is another one I had done a lil bit ago, during school, and just barely decided that I needed to make some edits to it, now that I understand a tiny bit more about colour and photoshop. Still nothing mind blowing, but I like it a bit better now. Enjoy

It's an astronaut!

So this is the first time I have posted something here. And yes, I found it to be rather appropriate to have a spaceman for my first piece of art on Astro-Art. This is a piece I did a little while ago. I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Enjoy!
